About the Blogger (15-16)

Hi, I'm the blogger of "A Bookworm's Blog About Books". Pretty catchy title, huh? Don't look at me; I didn't know what to call it. Well, now it's The Life of a Pretty Horse. :D

Anyway, I'm writing to introduce myself. I won't reveal my real name, but just call me Pretty Horse. I'm an 8th grader with all honors courses and I consider myself very intelligent. Especially arrogant. Except when I'm stupid. :D Then I'm humble.

They say middle school changes you. And they would be right. In elementary school, I was rather on the shy side, and didn't have that many friends. I was so naïve. I kept judging people before I really knew them, and then I kept changing my opinions. So confusing.

Anyway, now in middle school, I've outgrown my shell. I became one of the sassy students.

Not right away, but my 7th grade and 8th grade history teachers were those kind of people that like bantering. Since I wasn't afraid of getting a detention for talking back, I talked back. It was a gradual change, but it was a change. For the record, I've never received a detention before. Got a few talks when I didn't behave myself (like 2-3 talks in my whole middle school career). "But you can't stay on the path to perfection without making mistakes." I too, can be a philosopher. The only thing that I kept was favoring the intimacy of few friends than the comrade of many so-called friends. Sure, some other people were nice, but that didn't mean I had to be friends with them. You know, we all just have to be "friendly".

I'm taking Spanish 1 and I go to a Chinese school. I'm basically trilingual, except "bad at all languages" as a friend once told me. Even though I am a fairly able writer, I continue to mispronounce English words, much to the annoyance and amusement of my friend.

I love to read, like to write, but I'm so lazy. I like to do so many things, except I just curl up in bed with a book, growing fatter with every second. One of my reading habits includes sleeping with a book next to me, and then when I wake up, I read it. It irritates my parents, who ask me, "Don't you have homework and more other important things to do?"

I can play both the violin and the piano, although I stopped taking piano lessons a few years ago. I learned how to play a violin in my school's public lessons in 5th grade, where I was part of an orchestra for the first time. Playing music is fun, but I still think reading is my true escape.

There you have it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Pretty Horse.

By the way, readers, will you be so kind as to comment on my blogs? I believe in improving in one's self and I think outside advice on my writing skills would help me very much. Many thanks!
